Dear players it is my pleasure to announce the new official AWAR website http://awar.su/ The website will allow us to keep you informed about our activities, news and progresses, related to which there is another suprise, so please make sure to check it out. I would like to clarify that AWAR now works completelly independently and is not answering to any other third party or company, letting us tell you everything we want to tell you, and show you everything we want to show you and that is a big improvement compared to our history. True say, there isnt much to show yet but we are working hard, and the content will enlarge fast. I hope we can look forward to meet you on our new forum, where we will do our best to communicate with our community, this time wihout limitations and prohibitions. Thank you for beign so patient with us, we will do our best to make it worth it! See you guys at awar.su ! MikeeCZ

Looking forward to this. Good luck with going independent, but with the hassle you have had I'm sure it will be worth it. Going to keep an eye on this. .su seems to stand for Soviet Union http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/.su

Link works fine for me, it's great news to hear about AWAR's forthcoming IRON CLASH game..:) Their website and forum says:-"The project will feature various periods, from early years of war until 1945, presenting accurate weapons and armory of the period in every battle, starting with light tanks like T-26 and Panzer II and ending with heavy monsters like King Tiger and IS-2.The game will feature multiplayer game for various nations of war, like for USSR, for Germans, for Americans and other." Wow, "from early years until 1945" covers the entire war, and they say it'll have T-26's and PzII's, so I'm sure we all look forward to hearing what other brandnew units it'll have. Also it'll contain "USSR, Germans, Americans and other", so I wonder what the "other" nation or nations will be? EDIT- I just asked at the AWAR forum for a list of IRON CLASH units and got this reply-"Most of the significant vehicles will appear, and more will be added after the release of the game, according to the meantime plan. So you will be able to see Panzer II, III, IV, V etc. T-26, BT-7 and so on. The first release is planned to be in early stages of war."

Rather than a whole new game, I found one bug in the current game and it just needs one enhancement. I would vote for these done be done first. See other threads for details.

Sounds good so far. Here 's a link to some Iron Clash screenshots.
From the looks of the screenshots and the previous request for developers that know their ways in the Cry Engine I think this game will be based on that engine. I haven't really played much cry games so I'm not sure what that will mean gameplay wise.

Calling X1 a studio could be a bit of a stretch... Are you able to tell us what engine you are using? Will we be able to create scenarios like in IF, Coop, team vs team, triggers, large scale again? Will it be moddable this time In the description its genre is MMO tactical first-person shooter, Will there be a larger overall Meta game (like Heroes and Generals), Few very large maps with few large servers (like Planet Side 2) Something else.

These are excellent news ! I have both IFL44 and IFL44DD and can't wait to buy this new game no matter the problems with the 2 mentioned...i understood that you were limited in all aspects by 4-sides deal with each side with it's own agenda. I don't want to brag, OK, i gonna brag, but in the other forum i long ago advanced the idea of a game with right mix of realism and fun play that could cover the complete war from Invasion of Poland and France to Afrika Corps, etc. East front, D-Day , etc, etc. I'm very happy that you followed this route :D TWO simple questions : 1. Will it have SinglePlayer Campaign or at least the possibility to play MP maps offline against/with bots? 2. Will be there Mod Tools or at least a mission editor to make our own missions like in IFL44 ?

Regarding the Iron Clash map, I asked at the AWAR forum what areas it will cover, and Mikee was kind enough to reply-"Hello Spike, there will be all various of locations, the content is planned to be much wider than in IFL."

@AJSB : as i understand, it will be a MMO (Genre : MMO tactical first-person shooter). I'm not sure that the modding will be possible.

I hope it's not a MMO...i hate those games. Well, i could stand if it's a MMO, if there is some kinda of practice offline mode. My Net connection is so bad (mainly because very bad ping and that's a thing that changing ISP can't solve) that i gave up playing online and now only play offline.
