Hello all!

I have never made a mission before up until now.  I would like it, if you can give me some feed back (constructive criticism please, don't just say it sucks lol) Its a WIP of course and helpful suggestions would greatly be appreciated.

It is IFA3...so all the basic mods are needed [smile]

A short description of this mission is to keep a river crossing open while the other units evac......like I said its a work in progress

Thank you, but could you edit your post to say if its IF standalone?, needs the DLC? or if its for IFA3 etc.

And maybe a basic description, all helps to sell it [wink]

Just downloaded it, had a quick look, but will have a better look over weekend. Only slightly odd thing seen so far was the briefing is shown twice in the list. But it runs and I was getting shot at, so looking good [wink]

Thanks Tayuk for looking at it....I'm not sure as to why the briefing shows up twice ???  I did the briefing using modules and had it displayed to all player units.  But I do look forward to your thoughts.

It was the module.....I just created a briefing.sqf and it only came up once.

It looks like it could be a good mission with a few players on.

There were a couple of things that I wasn't sure about, but they may be part of your plan.

1. There is a trigger in there with the name reinforcements, and in the text box "Spare tanks on the way", is this meant to be an on screen message or just a note for you?
2. I noticed you have a marker on the map named respawn_north. As you are using side respawn, the marker is not needed.  It should be called respawn_west if you wanted individuals to respawn on that marker. Plus a slight change to the description.ext file.
3. The init file in your mission folder was a saved as init.txt, should be saved as init.sqf, but from your comments in your previous post it looks like you may have already addressed that.


So all in all you seem to have things in hand [wink]

Thanks very much for your help Tayuk.

The trigger was a note for me.  I haven't yet figured out how to put in message pop-ups yet, but will look into it.

I removed the respawn marker as it was not needed (thanks for pointing that out).  And the briefing was fixed.

I placed the mortar script in as well (that's the finger of god) and the cleanup script as not to bog down the map.

if you would like a little intro screen just before mission starts, try this code in the init.sqf file, above everything else

No probs, It's good to see people interested enough to do what your doing [wink]

And to add a message in middle of the screen, add this to a trigger on activation box, obviously change text to suit your needs.
