I just heard back from Joarius about adding Sig runes to the SS. It's not on the list right now but it might happen in the future. He said that if it does happen it won't be official because he doesn't want to risk breaking any French laws.

Hi guys I was wondering if there was a way to swap out the non camo netted M1 helmet with a camo netted M1 helmet for the US troops?  What is the classname and what should I add to ini of my character for this to happen?  Thanks

Hi bigstone - the class-listing for the GEIST uniforms can be found here on the GEIST Wiki.
There are different ways of adding particular pieces of uniform for a unit, but one suggestion would be to kit out the whole unit using the Virtual Arsenal (you can find a complete Virtual Arsenal for the IFA3 + GEIST US faction here.
Export the Virtual Arsenal loadout and paste the result into a file.
Call the file from the unit's init field.
(Or add the load-out into the Mission's init.sqf file).
For instance:

nul = execVM "unitloadout.sqf"

unitloadout.sqf:

Code:

//////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////
// Function file for Armed Assault
// Created by: TODO: Author Name
//////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////
//
//Virtual Arsean lLoad Out File
//Name a Unit, in the example vbelow this is 'unitname'
//Add:- nul = execVM "unitloadout.sqf"; to 'unitname' initialization field.
comment "Exported from Arsenal by """""";
comment "Remove existing items";
removeAllWeapons unitname;
removeAllItems unitname;
removeAllAssignedItems unitname;
removeUniform unitname;
removeVest unitname;
removeBackpack unitname;
//=removeHeadgear unitname;
removeGoggles unitname;
comment "Add containers";
unitname forceAddUniform "U_LIB_USA_NCO_InfM41VvPm1SgtM1Tho";
unitname addItemToUniform "LIB_30Rnd_45ACP";
unitname addItemToUniform "LIB_7Rnd_45ACP";
unitname addVest "V_LIB_US_Vest_Thompson";
for "_i" from 1 to 2 do {unitname addItemToVest "lib_pwm";};
for "_i" from 1 to 2 do {unitname addItemToVest "LIB_30Rnd_45ACP";};
unitname addBackpack "B_LIB_USA_Backpack_M1A1Thompson";
for "_i" from 1 to 6 do {unitname addItemToBackpack "LIB_30Rnd_45ACP";};
for "_i" from 1 to 3 do {unitname addItemToBackpack "LIB_US_Mk_2";};
unitname addItemToBackpack "LIB_US_M18";
//=unitname addHeadgear "H_LIB_US_Helmet_FLT_SgtWhite";
comment "Add weapons";
unitname addWeapon "LIB_M1A1_Thompson";
unitname addWeapon "LIB_Colt_M1911";
unitname addWeapon "LIB_w";
comment "Add items";
unitname linkItem "ItemMap";
unitname linkItem "ItemCompass";
unitname linkItem "ItemWatch";
comment "Set identity";
unitname setFace "WhiteHead_12";
unitname setSpeaker "Male06ENG";

Be sure to name the unit, and replace all of the 'this' instances in the Virtual Arsenal load out export text.
To remove just the helmet and add your own choice - the lines are marked //=.
(the '//=' needs to be removed if you are copying the script for your mission).
I may not have out that in the clearest way - so if there is anything that doesn't seem to make sense, or you don't understand, let me know.

...As for a camo US helmet with netting, I'm not sure there is one.
The US Marines in the Pacific had a camo cloth covered helmet - like so:

[USMarineWWII]

I'm not sure I know about any other style of camo US helmet?

Awesome thank you.  Sorry for the miss understanding.  I just wanted to replace the IFA3 private soldier's non-netted M1 helmet with M1 helmet netting as seen on the Corporal's or Sgt's helmet.  Alright I got it and now my whole squad has M1 helmet netting.  Thanks

Hi everybody. [smile]
I have not been very active because of IRL and the installation of my new computer ! [biggrin] Now, i can see shadows without risking to "kill" my graphic card... [thumb]
Happy to see that some peaole like GEIST-A3, i will continue to work on GEIST-A3 ; slowly, but it will continue. [wink]

For the SS symbols, effectively, it's not at the top of my list, and the eventual future release will never be "official". With the events of the 21 januar in France, and the new law about internet, i don't want to risk something. No need to discut[nono], so is it.

@bigstone : i had not read this topic before my mp... Sorry.

@Foxsch :
Nochamol, thx a lot for your work. [smile] [wave]
It's very sympatisch to make this WIKI. [smile] And i will use it too, because in some situation, it will be easier for me to search some nomenclature name than in the files... [biggrin][thumb]

Nice update!
So the latest version is ready or you need to add it to the dropbox yet?, as the MR is still the previous version.

The 1.4.0 version has not been uploaded to dropbox yet, just running some last minute checks.
