Wanted to repost this for you guys so please take heed of this:

Known bugs and Issues
====================================
  • No zoom outside the Autozoom to iron sites, only tanks, vehicles, and planes have normal zoom just not when you play as infantry - (we are still trying to determine the cause)
  • Molotovs only work once with AI it seems, depends
  • ragdolls are glitchy with Vcom AI added, dead bodies will fidget briefly (depends on ground their on)
  • New weapons with grenade launcher only shoots 1 grenade - (still wip)
  • unable to drag IF ammo boxes - (still wip)
  • G43 with zf-4 (scope dont show on gun) - (still wip)
  • with vcomai ai wont follow thier waypoints, and may not respond to command sometimes
  • new ammobox doesn't have all the new weapons in it along with ammo - (will be in patch)
VCom AI Issues
Also Vcom AI has imo really f*cked up the mod's AI and that is because its conflicting with the other AI mods in the mod, again as per
my known issues list, the ragdolls will get glitchy after you kill a soldier which depends on the terrain or wherever they are, also commanding them is iffy,
and them following waypoints is well iffy and almost next to not working so its up to you, VcomAI adds some cool features but if you dont
care for the bugs mentioned then remove the file for that mod which is:  vcomai.pbo

When i remove vcomai.pbo the Ai do what their supposed to do, they follow their waypoints ect,.

Other notes mainly on features, theres 3 distinct things we did in the mod and i say we as I have a friend who does coding for me on this, but:

  • AI rate of fire
  • reduced sonic cracks distance
  • increased loudness of all guns

Now with these three you should hear mainly a difference in the mgs, except hull mgs on tanks, as the sound seems
more consistent and vicious and it is ;)

with the sonic cracks they really annoyed me, reason is I was playing one of my test missions and fighting against
some enemy across the street, about 100m and less away and all i heard was sonic cracks,and a barely audible gun shot
sound from them, so what i did is increase the distance you hear the sonic cracks by like 200m, so it will
take about 250+ to hear the sonic cracks.

Also we increased the loudness of all guns as when we reduced the sonic cracks i wanted to hear the guns but they
sounded weak and somewhat muffled, so we adjusted them and now you should hear where a shot is coming from, as well
as the distinct sound of it, it should also sound clearer too.

 Alot of other features are on the way, our first Priority atm is fixing some known issues, we're not going to do
anything with VcomAI though we just

took it out on our end, up to you if you want to use it.

I wish I could install the mod right now but my Play with six is encountering multiple errors on startup and no one seems to be able to give me a solution.

Take out VComAI mod

Also again I just recommend you guys take out the vcomai.pbo in the @IFA3WarMod\addons folder.
In a infantry vs infantry combat basically you against a squad the enemy AI are ok, they are a bit tough, but the issues with this mod and its
only because its conflicting with other AI mods and these are the following issues:
  • AI refuse to follow command when in danger or combat mode
  • Ai refuse to follow any waypoints
  • AI when killed will ragdoll normally as what is setup in the mod for it but.... after a second or two depending on the terrain, a building, wall, depends, their body will get caught, or stuck in the ground and they will fidget, wobble, and just plain glitch, then when somehow they get uncaught (if thats a word [rolleyes] their bodies will pop up into the air and land wherever and land in some funky goofy positions, making you think their doing yoga, lol, anyways it ruins the immersion
Those are the only issues I ran into.

Accessing the new weapons can be done through Arsenal
There is a new ammobox with various weapons in it but not all of them, all the new weapons and ammo will
be added to the box so you wont need arsenal to access them.

Customization?
If anyone needs or wants to disable or adjust something let me know, for the userconfigs in the
userconfigs folder it contains the following folders:
  • ACE - this is for the ace mod --> LINK to features Keep in mind the features listed on the 1st post are whats in the mod so not all the features are in ace as ace has alot of modern day war features which wont work with IFA3 so I took them out
  • FFIS - this is the AI mod Firefight improvement system check it out here for more info-->  LINK
  • GL5  - this is Groupl Link 5 ---> LINK
  • LAxemann - this is this mod LINK
  • TPW_MODS - TPW Mods---> LINK
  • VCOM_AI - VcomaI.pbo (suggest you remove it) if you want to keep it then here the link to the page for it:  LINK
  • vz_addons - this is Vazant's Steady shot --> LINK  look at the bottom of the download page to understand how to tweak the sway and recoil but currently the sway is set to 0 which means theres no sway, theres 0 set to recoil too but I have recoil setup using another way.

Questions, report bugs, request for features or fixes
Please let me know if there is any bugs or issues you run into other then what i already listed on 1st page under known issues.
Also if there is any IFA3 itself issues that we can fix through the mod that might be possible too, it depends and I will let you know
but please ask and post what you have in mind.

Lastly I will be recording some new videos of the mod with the latest version so that everyone can see what we are playing with.

Quick questions:

1. Cycling weapons with "F" seems to be disabled. Is there another key for this?

2. Is it possible to change how the first grenades when pressing "G" always are smoke as opposed to frags?

3. Is it a specific file that makes AI pop smoke when injured, that can be removed?

Thanks for all your hard work putting this together. Firefights seem way more intense with it. I don't know if you've used it before or not but have you given any thought to adding Sniperwolf572's Switching weapons while moving mod?

Theres 2 mods that effect controls one is the Keys Enhanced Interaction System the other is ACE3 Mod.
For Keys refer to the bottom of the page, or I suggest you look at your controls and see what control is setup for what you had.
For ACE go to your controls and at the bottom right middle of the screen you will need to configure addons i believe the
issues is ACE had another control setup, just change it.

No file just a setting in the userconfig, you want to go to the following folder in the userconfig:
Theres 2 settings 1 for one mod, and 1 for the other, the first one is here:

C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\Arma 3\userconfig\FFIS
the setting is the first line at the top:
Code:
SS_FFIS_USESMOKE = false;  //Set to false to disable AI popping smoke.


For the 2nd setting:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\Arma 3\userconfig\GL5\GL5_Global.sqf
in this section:
GL5 Enemy A.I. Behaviours ( Combat )
and
GL5 Enemy A.I. Advancing:
You can see the listings there for Ai throwing smoke when advancing.

To turn them off just remove the // on the bottom line for the code.

I know about it, I was testing it with my Arma3 version WarMod and couldn't get it to work, I have not tried it since,
but can try with IFA3 to see if it will, if it works for you please let me know, i would be interested in adding it.
Although i can make it work it would be a matter of determining what code, or something else that prevents it from
working with the mod. Thank you.

Today there was a large update for Arma3, which when I started Arma3 I had no issues, however when I tried to
start IFA3WarMod, the game froze, same for vanilla IFA3 itself.
So... Until BIS fixes whatever they "broke" or whatever is causing the game/mod not to start I cannot test,
nor play or do anything with the mod.
I'm not the only one having issues, but any one else having the same problem on their end?

Any other questions about the mod please let me know, will get back to you as soon as I can.

Yep, I'm having the same issue after this new update. Vanilla Arma 3 works fine as does the standard mod set I use(RHS, HLC, etc) but not IFA3.

I'm sure they'll come out with a patch to fix whatever is causing the issues as steam thread here for the 1.50 update
is reporting alot of the same issues: LINK
Until BIS fixes the issue guess ill take a vacation from the game and play something else that does f*cking work!

Same here. Worked before patch not anymore. Even tried launching with the exe and the A3 launcher no go!

I've found out that downgrading to Legacy Build 1.48 makes everything work again. The access code is Arma3Legacy148
