I bought the DLC recently and in my opinion the best thing of it is the new content for D-Day and the following days with the new Omaha / Collewille map.
The new included Eastern Front SP mission Tiger's Might is one of best missions I played so far, but I recommend to make all tigers of this mission playable in the editor.

It seems the developers used the FSM Editor Personal Edition for scripting as stated for example in the logic file of Tiger hunt mission.

I do not remember exactly but was there something stated in the official forum for iron front that it is not allowed to use or change the original game missions to create new missions?

Missions are missions anyone can make the same exact mission the developers have, so theres nothing sacred or official that says you
cannot change the original missions to create a new mission, its not like it wont be in the official game if you do, its your game you bought it.
But you really cant take a mission from the game and then put your name on it and say it was yours.

Overall its content in Iron front that you would need permissions to use and or change not the missions.

Thank you for the information Gunter.

Because I like the Tiger hunt mission, but I wanted the scenario during day-time, I just changed it to day-time in the editor.

I also added infantry to the Allies tank platoon, but the infantry is getting easily lost if the tanks move to fast during the mission.

In the great war, tanks were meant to support infantry.

In the 1930's the Germans came up with the idea that tanks are a separate arm.

If you need the infantry to keep up with the tanks, have the tanks slow down.

Actually, it was the British Liddell Hart who wrote extensively on tank warfare and the theories of Colonel Fuller.  But the British Military paid little attention to their writings. But the Germans did pay attention to their writings and developed their concepts for Tank Warfare and Blitzkrieg based upon the English writings.

You know a great FPS that no one has ever done is Blitzkrieg and the German invasion of France.  That would be a great IF44 mod if the idiots would ever get off their ass and open the game to modding.  I mean, why do they just abandon the game. they have nothing to lose and ALOT to gain if they open it to the MOD community.  Then as the MODS come out and folks who don't own IF44 want to play them, they will buy IF44 and the Developers will make money with no effort on their part.  And what do they have to lose?  Or maybe it is just as simple as the fact that they are stupid.

Few things:

1. there is already a thread for discussing Awar, the game and the issue with the game and its past

2. what you said and pointed out has already been said many times especially by me on BIS forums, and IF forums,
so repeating it wont make them turn around and open up modding.

3. Awar is the developer not the publisher, Awar has no hand in where the game goes in terms of decisions, the publisher does and that is DS.

4. DeepSilver and BIS are the ones that disabled modding and set the game up the way it is, basically whatever mod is made
is to be a dlc to be sold or distributed as a free download but thats not possible anymore.

5. DS makes all the decisions of the game, Awar is not around anymore working on IF, they have moved on, so no patches, no new content ect,.

If you guys cannot talk or discuss about the DLC and if its worth it then I will lock this thread, if I have to repeat myself somewhere else about this
I will lock the thread and or delete it.
Stay on topic, and use threads with subjects based on their relative content.
