Hey guys!
I'd like to post some history and background for you about where Iron Front came from.
To start off the Awar developers (Iron front Devs) are the originators among some other members of the mod
known as Liberation 1941 -1945
[lib]
This mod was a WW2 mod for OFP (Operation Flashpoint) you can see their original website here:
http://translate.google.com/translate?hl=en&sl=ru&tl=en&u=http%3A%2F%2Fofp.gamepark.cz%2F_hosted%2Flib4145%2F&sandbox=1

on OFP.info you can see their mod listed in the mod section here:
http://ofp.gamepark.cz/index.php?special=articles/mods.html

This thread on BIS forums was the original thread for the Arma2 version of the mod:
https://forums.bistudio.com/topic/84109-%E2%80%9Cliberation-1941-1945%E2%80%9D/
from here team decided to instead release a mod they turned the mod into a standalone game and as we know
today this was Iron Front: Liberation 1944

This forums thread in the Bis forum Iron front section was about the new Iron front:
https://forums.bistudio.com/topic/113544-iron-front-liberation-1944-new-ww2-game-on-a2oa-engine/

Here are the promotional vids for the mod for the Arma2 version that were done:

vid 2

vid 3

As you can see from the videos the character are a bit different and better imo in Iron front, they dont use the Arma2 characters,
the animation from Liberation mod from OFP to Iron front haven't changed that much.
So there you have it a little bit of Iron front's history [wink]

Welcome, i will record some vids of the content of the original Liberation 1941- 1945 mod from OFP as I have that mod still installed, its pretty wild the amount of
content and attention to detail that, that mod has, I had only wished that Awar never moved on and added more content
as well as details that their original mod had for OFP.

I wish the same!! I think we can thank BIS, Deep Silver and X1 Software for the debacle that occurred over modding and rights. Enough of a bad taste for these talented programmers to leave the Arma series for good.
What a fuckin SHAME!!!!! and I point fingers at all the above parties but even more so to BIS for not hiring these guys!

Thanks for the videos! I do remember them having more content even that shown in the videos. I seem to remember a su152, KV1 and 2 in their pics on the Lib mod thread. Would be nice if they could let us play with those?!?

They left and are making Iron Clash now IIRC which is fine by me. Arma needs some competition anyway so that Bohemia actually has an incentive to swap out their currently outdated engine.

Hi Vandevoorde!
What I have is called WW2MP
[wwiimp]

its a EPIC compilation mod of Liberation 1941 -1945, Invasion 1944, DAK (Afrika Korps), and many others plus (see the readme below)!
Kinda of like  WarMod [wink] but for OFP but with a ton more work
new sounds, scripts, animations, voices (in their native language), AI enhancement and a ton more, see here for the mod:
http://ofp.gamepark.cz/index.php?showthis=10808

This is the credit list, this list is the authors of all the WW2 mods for OFP and the many other contributors that did 2d/3d, artwork, scripts, ect,.
Whats bolded is their names for individuals, and also the mod teams, i fixed it up so its more readable but everyone who added to the pack has their name
bolded/underlines and then underneath what they contributed.
