Hey all I have a question and didn't really know where to place this since I don't know if it's a bug or not.

On the map Onslaught on Staszow I have a strange thing happening.  Once the Russians make it to position 5 or 6, with me playing on either side, the whole Russian side stops respawning.  I have it set to unlimited so I know they're not running out.  I can run max amount of bots for both sides on my system, 50 each, with no problems.  The funny thing is it's only the Russians that stop not the Germans at all.   I actually have a couple of videos that play out for the whole time limit but that is because neither of those two positions were taken.  Does anyone else have this issue and if not does anyone know what may be causing it?  The only extra mod I have is the explosions mod besides the original DLC.

Well I actually got past position 6 but then the Russians vanished again and eleven minutes was left in the match.  No one else has this issue?

So yea uhhhhmmm, can't tell what causes this.  Seems to be only this mission too which is really too bad because it's one of my favorites.  So I'm assuming that no one else has this issue and it's only me since there have been no replies.  Ok well thanks for the help and info, you all stay safe.

I haven't played that mission but it sounds like its bugged, you could try contacting the creator if you know who he is.
That's the problem with playing other peoples missions, we're completely at the mercy of the creators which is why I prefer making my own missions.

Not like you cant open the mission and put it in the editor and change it or fix the issue yourself.

But if we're going to tweak other peoples missions we might as well build our own from scratch..[smile]
Incidentally a lot of mission builders forget to give us a Briefing outlining what to expect, for example they should always say something like- "There is reported enemy infantry activity in Kurozweki"..."enemy halftracks have been seen on the road between X and X"..."Enemy aircraft are in your vicinity"..."Heavy enemy tanks are heading your way from the north"...."Victory conditions: you win if no enemy units are in zone 'A' at the end of the game. Game length 30 minutes"..and so on.
I know some mischeivous designers like to "surprise" us by not giving us a proper Briefing, but in real war commanders at least have a vague idea of what the situation is.
A commander is briefed in Russia, 1944-

If you look closely at that picture Spike posted. You might spot a hidden Russian T-34. It's hard to find but it's there. It's in a good spot too, the German officers are clueless[rofl]

I do both, I tweak,/update/fix missions because i want to play that particular mission, I have done this since the series OFP/Arma started.
Having run multiple game servers before for Arma1, Arma2, and Arma2CO, i had updated, and added features to existing missions where there were none, missions I have done:
Insurgency, Domination, Evolution, and many other types of missions, I have built many of my own, but there are some types of missions already built as that is the point
that you can "tweak" to suit your  play style needs.

The point being is that some missions are to complicated to build, and those that I have enjoyed alot only needed some adjustments on them, for example a mission
I was hosting and was playing with a friend in coop, had some major lag, plus the vehicles were so spread out that it was annoying, so i edited the missions
found the culprit to the lag (a civilian module), and adjusted the positions of the vehicles, and times of their respawns, even swapped out
respawn scripts, and the mission became a blast to play.

Just building your own missions are irrelevant if you want certain features and dont know how to implement them, or do but cant get them to work because you have multiple scripts, and codes that need to be in one init scripts but have no idea on how to set it up, it really depends, i been down all those avenues, some times just building your own missions is not as good as playing someone elses, as you have no ideas, or the motivation/energy to do so, its time consuming, it takes alot of mental energy (throw in a full time job) to try to comeup with something fun and replayable, it really depends.
I have yet to play Iron front online in coop with my friend, but not possible anymore since I can hardly play any game as it is.

To be honest I can't contact the creator of the mission because it is a vanilla mission that came with the game.  As far as I know they don't support it anymore.  So no one has even played the vanilla missions only user created missions?  By the way this is a Blitzkrieg type mission with AI which is a ton of fun, if it works right.

Thanks GerhartRTFO. Unfortunately I could not see a problem.
Did you locally host or with a dedicated server?

Did you try without vehicles yet?

Overall there should be an update available soon that hopefully fixes this in any case.

I hosted it on my system.  I ran it with and without vehicles, with max amount of bots to very little and the same thing happens no matter what.  I really appreciate you taking the time to help, thank you.  I look forward to the update.
