Hello All,
            I am a pretty elderly guy with very little PC savvy.  I have just purchased Iron Front Liberation 1944 and would like to bring it up to date. It seems that there are quite a few patches/updates etc, and I am not really sure what to down load.  Do I need to download EVERYTHING in date order, or can I bring it up to date more simply with a more recent patch or whatever ? I would be grateful for any advice from PC savvy gamers.

I'm the biggest PC dummy around here (and one of the oldest at 65) but I somehow managed to patch up wthout any problem whatsoever, so if I can do it anybody can, haha..[smile]
I've got the boxed version of IFL44 and don't know if the download version uses a different procedure, but basically I just followed the instructions with the patches and it all went smoothly and automatic.
It didn't ask for patches 1.01 and 1.02 and skipped them.
The sequence was-
Box= 1.00 (engine 1.60)
1st patch 1.00 to 1.03 (engine 1.60 to 1.62)
2nd patch 1.03 to 1.04 (engine 1.62 to 1.64)
3rd patch 1.04 to 1.05 (engine 1.64 to 1.65)

Monitor the readout at bottom right of the splash screen to tell if the patching has gone correctly, it should look like this when all the patches are in (the Sherman pic is there because I've also got D-Day DLC installed)-

Hi,
   Further to the above. It seems that the latest update is patch 1.05.  I have checked my DVD copy of the game and it says it`s version 1.60.0000.   Does this mean that my game is later than the patch ? I`m still confused here. Sorry !

It's alright, your version 1.60.000 out of the box corresponds to version 1.00, beats me why they've used such a confusing double-barrelled labelling system!
Just install the patches in this order-

patch 1.03
patch 1.04
patch 1.05

The 1.05 is the version of the game (latest patch), the 1.60.0000 is the game engine version.
