Update
Whats up WarMod fans!
Little news for you on the upcoming patch.

Currently I am in testing and also working on a customized version of the mod with v1.15 patch applied,
this new version is basically what i play with which is geared towards mainly performance aside some features I'm not interested in.

Testing overall
Atm i have run into 1 issue with 1 of the mods in the mod that was updated, which im going to have to not update it
and see how it performs with its earlier version.

What to expect:
- Patch release is going to be delayed til Sunday June 4th
- Demonstration video of the patch which will be recorded using my customized version mainly to demonstrate the new additions.

Patch will have 3 versions:
  • Full patch v1.15,
  • Full version IFA3WarMod v1.15,
  • Customized Full IFA3WarMod v1.15

Update
Hey guys small update,
i was delayed with testing and bug hunting, but I just finished recording the demonstration video,
i need to edit it yet and then upload, and at the same time Im uploading 3 versions of the mod to my Google drive and Mega.
So expect release for sure to be early Monday morning (USA central time).  Stay Tuned!

Update - Patch release

New additions
- Iron Front Firearms Recoil Modifier
- Ragdoll Effects Overhaul

New addition details:
Iron Front Firearms Recoil Modifier
========================
Description:
This addon changes the default recoil for many of Iron Front firearms. This does not include pistols.
All changes are based on real Youtube videos from firing ranges, and the idea was to make recoil more realistic.

Features:
- Twice as strong recoil for all bolt-action (might actually be a little bit more upped than it is IRL, because I love feeling the power of bolt-action rifles)
- Rebalanced MP44 + changed the visual kickback (for some reason in @IFA3LITE it kicks as a horse, it's only a visual effect though, it didn't affect the recoil.
- Increased recoil for PPSh-41, IRL it was really hard to control it, considering its 1000rpm firerate
- Rebalanced LMG recoils, all of them have the same base parameter, but due to different RPMs they feel  different

Other features:
- Overall, all LMGs are much more precise when on bipods, and much worse when shooting from hands
- MG42 now supports 250 rounds magazines (which are actually 250 rounds belts, but the 3D model looks like a simple 50Rnd. magazine).

Complete list of weapons affected by this mod:
- Kar98k, G43, M1903A4 Springfield, M1 Garand, M1 Carbine, Mosin Nagant, SVT-40
- MP 40, M1A1 Thompson, PPSh-41
- MP44, MG42, BAR, DT (all versions)
  (All IFA3 firearms, excluding pistols)

Ragdoll Effects Overhaul
=================
Description:
This fixes various problems with vanilla A3's ragdoll physics. Knee joints have been
 fixed so that they can no longer bend in ridiculous ways, along with other various improvements.

Features:
-Prevents knee joints from bending into silly positions
-Weights of certain body parts decreased
-Stiffness of ragdolls increased, prevents majority of knee joint issues.
-Ragdoll collision with vehicles and physx objects has been enabled.

IFA3WarModC
The C stands for custom, this version of IFA3WarMod is a custom version i personally play with,
it is built with the following in mind:
- Performance - considering i have a duel core cpu, there are some mods that lag my game which have been removed.

- Stable, solid, sites/recoil when shooting - I dont really care about 100% accurate firing weapons, for me its believable if a gun isn't kicking up
and moving all over the place, i like to move, aim and kill, and not have to fight my gun because its swaying like crazy or kicking like im
shooting a tank shell through my rifle.

- aesthetics - I love blood, shells, and debree it adds to the atmosphere and makes things more realistic for me, although depending it can
have a performance impact if overdone.
Many other aspects overall concept of this version I call Run n gun realism.

Hey guys heres the demonstration video finally :face_palm: had some issues with uploading it yesterday, would have had it at the same time i made the

above post but utube was giving me troubles, so i ended up re-rendering the vid and made it 1920x1080 60p HD, anyways the video demonstrates
the new additions in the patch and then i demonstrate a small scenario while also doing a review of some of the features of the custom version of the mod.

CBA3, Terrains, IFA3_A10_Lite, Ace and the Ace Compatability patch are Steam Workshop downloads.

It seems I cannot get the Warmod to load. When I fire the game up and go to the editor, there is nothing showing of the mod in the assests list and then if I put any unit down and try to play a scenario the computer freezes and I have to alt/tab out and boot up again.I have tried the three versions, the Full 1.15, the 1.15 C and I also downloaded version 1.14 and added the 1.15 patch but with the same result. I tried initially with my normal full preset then the one above with what I thought were the bare essentials. Thanks.

Hi ayjay, your issue is because both of these:
- ace
- Iron Front Arma 3:ACE 3 Compatibility patch
are already in the mod, so you just need to run CBA_A3, Cup Terrains, @IFA3Lite, IFA3WarMod.

The patch v1.15 updates ace in the mod, and adds the latest version of the ace compatibility patch for IFA3 so you dont need it.
Running ACE twice will conflict because of the .dlls, ACE files are picky if you have 1 file out of date vs the rest then
your mission wont load when you go to load one.

Got to read my changelogs, it will tell you everything you need to know about the patch.
Lastly please understand that IFA3WarMod is a massive compilation mod, this means that there are many mods in the mod,
I have been granted permissions from many modders whom i contacted to ask if i may have their mod in mine.

What is the mod?
IFA3WarMod is mainly geared around infantry based gameplay, so what you will experience as a soldier on foot is a more quicker,
smoother, faster transition of weapon use, shooting, stabilization, recoil, and a decent but functional stamina that wont
punish you if you have to much equipment of course their are limits.
I coined a term for my type of mod which i call Run N Gun Realism

What this means is you can be quick on your feet and have stable quick transitional shots, and still be able to move without
sacrificing any realism, i mean the mod isn't so far fetched that you have perfect aim, no recoil, and no stamina, its there, its
just toned down so you can focus on moving and killing your enemy, in my opinion your gun isn't a cannon where you have
to sit there and recover from each shot you fire even if it the gun is set on automatic like an mp44 for example.

    The whole idea behind this concept comes from a tactic i like to used when i was a regular machine gunner in the game Red Orchestra,
the tactic was called Shoot and scoot, basically learn to be quick on your feat, learn to transition between positions, and firing the gun, and be
accurate as possible while making maximum kills in the shortest amount of time, once the enemy gets an idea of your position and knows how to
get around you its to late, so make your kills and move, so the whole process to do that takes practice.

    With the mod you can do that without having to practice to be faster, in one way you would need to if you wanted that,
but my mod aids in this.
Update - Patch v1.16
I want to inform you guys that in the coming week, i cant say when for sure yet, but I have plans to release another patch,
this new patch will have a couple more additions.

In the meantime probably before or at the start of this coming weekend im going to record a demonstration video for
the new custom version of the mod which is called IFA3WarModC, this video will go through all the features in the mod something like i did
with the IFA3WarMod Full v1.14 where i demonstrated most of the features.

Hi Welcome to IF Fan forums!
I will give you a quick tutorial.

1. Extract the IFA3WarMod zip using winrar,winzip, or 7zip

2. The mod once extracted you will get a folder titled----> IFA3WarMod Full version 1.15
inside this folder is the following files:
  • @IFA3WarMod
  • Documentation v1.15
  • keys
  • userconfig
  • Installation readme

3. Move the following files:
  • @IFA3WarMod
  • keys
  • userconfig
to here----> C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\Arma 3

4. Start the game with @IFA3WarMod in your launcher.
