Hi All ~ I'm not new to Mission Editing, but I've not tried to de-pbo one of the Blitzkrieg Missions in Iron Front until now. I extracted 'Blitzkrieg [AI] (08) [T] foggy forests panovo' so I could have a look around to see what went into putting the mission together. I was particularly taken with the 'mist in the trees' effect and what seemed to be a blueish wash effect to the mission. I was hoping to see how it was done to replicate the effects. Unfortunately now that I have the extracted folder in my Other Profile directory I cannot launch the edit of the mission to have a look around. The error I get, as the game crashes is rather unusual too, I've not come across it before. I used PBO Manager as my Eliteness crashes if I try and unpack this mission with it? If it is a problem with the Mode, rather than this particular mission (generally I have stuck to COOP mode before now), all well and good - another learning curve : -)
But if anybody can help with this, I would still like to know how the maker created the effect you find in this mission...

The error message when the game crashes
File C:\Users\Owner\Documents\Iron Front Other Profiles\Foxsch\MPMissions\blitzkrieg_08_t_foggy_forests.panovo\description.ext, line 0: '.': '[]' encountered instead of '='

The full Description.ext:
ÿ#includeÿ "settinÿgs\Missi÷onS.hpp÷"
)conf¿igurat&
?!

  Cheers!

You need to use mikero's tools to extract them.

Hi Kju, thanks for getting back to me on this ~ I'll try that, although tbh this is a waypast idea I probably may not go back to in the near future.
Whilst having you nudge my memory over it has made me think about going back to it.
The foggy tree's effect is pretty unique to this mission as far as I can figure, so I guess I'm going to have to find out how its done : -) Cheers, Foxsch

The fog and light comes from:

Compare 3:00 pm in July with 3:00 pm in December.  The date and the time affects how the light looks in your mission.

Also change the cloud cover and change the amount of fog.

The answer to the blue wash colour in the mission is in  F7 Modules

Module - Effect movie day
Module - Effect movie night
Module - Environment colours
Module - Environment effects

So, use all the above and tweak them - and it works nicely.
