In the editor I created a little scenario where I gave each of my men a set of binoculars.

On patrol and in the distance saw some troops. One of my men pulled out his binoculars and used them!  I have never seen that in Arma2.

Joe we appreciate your feedback and findings on the game, and these are fun and cool features, but please just use one thread about your discoveries.

Not long back with one of the beta's they were using bino's too much, but that got sorted. In modded ai you will get better more balanced behaviour imo, just needs to be tested and experimented with.

As per grenades (other thread):
Happens a lot with modded ai, not so often with vanilla ai (does happen though). The ai in vanilla are nowhere near as good as modded ai, however you have to use the right ai mods. There are a number to use and experiment with; Zeus (no longer updated but still first class), SLX (again no longer updated but highly recommended) and by far the best GL4 (this again is not updated anymore but really it still is the best of any ai mods).

I would mix some and test and experiment the results, great fun and you see some very neat ai work. Maybe COWARMOD gunters mod which combines lots of other mods inc ai ones, however GL4 would have to be separate, but can be added as another if wanted.

Read carefully all the ‘readmes’ and test with mixes..

There is also ASR AI many enjoy that mod to..
