So in a nutshell. Nothing was ever meant for Iron front: Liberation 1944. It was all to create a mod for Arma II. The way it would have been. Even all of T_Roc's stuff was Arma II content, not needing IF.

No. Everything we done was for Iron front. Kju came to me in May about the conversion, but even in 2012 when the IF official forums
were active the conversion was being worked on, us moderators that were their had the chance to work on it.
When the game pretty much died as in no more support, everyone moved on, I didn't, and others didn't, but once we established here thanks to TayUk, and I started the team T_roc and I and the others were mainly focused on "cracking" Iron front which T_roc was able to, to a degree, then May came around and kju told me about the conversion again.

The IF/Arma conversion offered us another alternative, legal rather to get our content into Iron front view the conversion.
Iron front is already using the Arma2Co engine, but as everyone knows Iron front is configured to not be modded, as T_roc found out,
he told me the configuration files for the addresses are 3 layers deep, try to get something from Arma2CO to read in
Iron front is very time consuming, tasking.

But we changed our plans and focused on the conversion.
Overall there are three advantages to this:
  1. Iron front is now possible in Arma2Co as a mod, which as said before there is no Ostfront mod in Arma2CO, so thats a plus.
  2. Iron front is now in Arma3 as a WW2 mod, let alone and Ostfront mod, and atm there is no WW2 mods for Arma3 so another plus.
  3. Iron front is now possible to mod, the mod itself which it always has been is now unlocked and available to mod.

All our efforts for IFR, as well as kju's for Iron front is for this IF/Arma conversion, the mod itself, be it Arma2Co, or Arma3.
Currently IFR is looking to do things for both Arma2CO and Arma3 versions of Iron front.

So when we release something for Iron Front, it is to be played with Iron front, it of course will have the option to play on its own
but thats not the purpose or was planned for that.

This whole thing we are doing here is not a surrade for Arma2Co or Iron front, i wouldn't have built the MR hosting all of Iron front's
missions and files if all i cared about was Arma2Co, we are indeed fans of Iron front and WW2, and thats what its about.

The new units look fantastic.

I've noticed two problems though:

- Every unit that has a GrB 39 has an incorrect class name for it's magazines. The German ammo box however does however have the right ammunition.

https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/14592975/arma2oa%202014-01-05%2021-43-26-32.png

- Some of the A and B Fallschirmjäger units also share the name in editor...  A Hauptmann for example is repeated twice, with one unit A and the other B.

Thanks for reporting, but we already knew about these, the units are still WIP rather in a beta til we get some things sorted.
The Author of the units and weapons is no longer with IFR due to real life things going on, so we will have to update the files ourselves.
Anything else you guys find, let us know.

Hi IFR Team.

Thank you very much for the files and addons in this project release. Are they useable in both the IFL:44 in Arma 2 and Arma 3 modes?

Cheers

Hi Chief, your welcome!
Everything released was built for the Arma2CO version, you can try in the Arma3 version but none of us have tested them
in Arma3 so there may be bugs, conflicts, or errors, so all i can say is use at your own risk.

IFR Release
I am releasing my WarMod version for Iron front, also known as IFWarMod, See the release thread here:
http://ironfront.forumchitchat.com/post/ifwarmod-release-6390060
Just to note I had a couple of the IFR members do some testing for me, and then Rydygier had helped me with a feature for Iron front specifically, mod works great, and is a real blast to play with, I was trying to get more and better screenshots, but 95% of the screenshots on the dropbox page were taken when I still had windows xp and a low end computer, theres a few new screenshots in there that you can tell, they are from my new computer im on now I7 quad core [wink]
Anyways I had PooroldSPike take some screens of his own just to demonstrate a few of the many features in the mod.

Hope you guys like it as much as I had playing with it.

Khem, about this particular magazines error we not only knew, it is also fixed. I checked most of the released above content, do not know how or why, but seems, that released are not latest versions of the goodies, at least things done by me. Seems, that issue applies also to that units, so included fix, prepared for newer version, fails in magazines issue case. I PMed Gunter about this...

I've just played a bit to see the new troops in action ( Baranow ), and some polygons are popping up.
Any idea why and what to do about it.

That's the first time it happen to me.

Seen in Staszow MarketPlace, every time reproduce-able.
But seen other areas there too.

This is while playing inside ARMA2 OA ,only not seen inside IF44.

I've had that as well. Not seeing that on the feedback tracker... should probably make a post about that.

So I'm not the only one to experience these abnormalities.
I'm sure it's not VRAM, 'cos accordingly to GPU-Z, I have dedicated 850MB, and only 80% is used.

Anti-Aliasing ?
Why would I need to change if all my games work perfect, even heavyweight like ETS2 and DCS Black Shark 2.
