Is there a problem using the patch if i use the steam-version of Arma2 CO but the retail-version (non-steam) of iron front?

No you should have any problems, as log as when you do the conversion process that you locate the directory of your Iron front, and then the directory for Arma2 the conversion will do the rest, the conversion will put an @IF folder into the Arma2 directory.
With the patch it will check your registry to make sure you have OA, and then patch the conversion.

The Granatbuechse 39 has no effect on tanks. At least on my trials. Why did you guys change the iron sights view for the 7.92 fire mode? The first files you mistakenly released had better visuals. This new one is a placeholder like 2D image.

Fun weapon to use. Although I was expecting help for the russians for Anti tank like the PTRS-41. ...Know that I think about it. They got bupkis[rofl]

The only man, who could answer, as I read, is no longer with us. Perhaps there was some problems with previous solution. As was said - it is not finished, hopefully will be.

Expect nothing to avoid disappointment. [smile] New weapon, so apparently not compatibile with IF's armor damage simulation system (that's flaw of such systems BTW). Scripts behind this system is so complex (also beacause it is mixed, script&config solution, spread across many files, so difficult even to read), that, as far, as I know, for now there is no one in the team, that had enough time to chew it yet enough to understand, how it works. Only when such task would be done, someone could try to bring new AT toys and/or vehicles under this system. I guess, some day this will be done, but this take long time, I guess, person doing this would be excluded during that process from any other activity. Perhaps, I wonder, faster/easier would be to script whole new armor damage simulation system from the scratch.

Screenshot was made by PoorOldSpike, at the time I had him create a thread to catalog all the tanks with pics.
But compared to I44 and I dont want to T_Roc's mod had many more variants of tanks, and paint/camou schemes.
But all we need to say for the mod as I dont want any kiddies here asking for it cuz we dont have permission to release it, if you want me
to release the mod then get a hold of T_Roc and get him to contact me.
Enough said dont bring up the mod anymore.

Roger that Gunter[wink]
I very much appreciate the image. The M10 is second to the Jackson as my favorite WWII tanks. I guess I'll have to wait till the Arma 3 Invitation. That is if...

I just got the conversion up and running via withSix.

Will all new patches be made available via withSix?

If not, how do you install them if your conversion was made via withSix?

Also, I do not see the IFWarmod listed on withSix's mod list. How should I proceed with regards to getting it installed without creating issues with my withSix installation?

Finally, a quick note: I had no issues with the conversion process, but I am noticing some graphical distortions in-game. I'll do more testing before I make an official report, but the Staszow map (when in-city) seems to trigger them more than anything else. They do not happen often otherwise so far. These distortions have never occurred with my regular installs of IFL or Arma2CO.

Lastly, I have the Arma 2 Complete Collection. The conversion tool seems to have added everything but the ACR DLC. It left that out.

No will be both manual download and pw6.

If your using pw6 your game will have been patched already, but if your using pw6 then their will be patches for the pw6 version as well.

Same way you install any mod, move it to your arma2 directory.

thats already been reported, read the first post here: http://ironfront.forumchitchat.com/post/ifr-reports-6700601

The conversion is only converting your Iron front, not your Arma2 games, it doesn't touch your arma series games.
You should read the faq I put together here:
http://ironfront.forumchitchat.com/post/iron-front-as-mod-in-arma-2-and-3-6685093
So you have a better idea of what the conversion is for and is doing, also any questions regarding the conversion ect,. belong on that thread.

Thanks, Gunter! Sorry for my newbie questions, but uh..I'm a newbie.

I manually installed the IFWarMod and played around with it for a couple of hours. BIG FUN! Thank you very much for your excellent work! I'll post any questions/issues that come up with it in the thread dedicated to the mod.

Congratulations and thanks also for bringing the IFR project to fruition. You are a true hero to the community, sir!

Your welcome, but Im not the only one to bring all what we have done to fruition, many members of the IFR team
and most especially Kju and those that helped tested should get alot of credit.

use this thread for any questions, ect,. for IFWarMod:

Spent some time on offline missions today. The Mod feels very good and is great fun.

Now i am ready for some online missions, but i have some problems to find public servers playing the IFR Mod. Is there a server which is permanent online for playing this mod? Is it possible to set the multiplayer server filter to show only hosts playing the IFR Mod?

No and probably not, and i would have no idea, i dont play anything online other then Arma3 vanilla on my own gameserver.
As for what you are naming the mod, it is not IFR mod, it is the IF/Arma conversion.

IFR had done extensive testing with for and with kju to get the arma2Co version stable, and ready for release, so its not specifically IFR's mod
it's actually kju's handy technical skills that enabled this to come about.
So please just use the word Conversion or IF/arma conversion, or even the conversion mod will work too, keep in mind theres the
arma2Co version and the Arma3 version.
Not like you couldn't host your own missions and play with it.

First of all - THANKS to everyone for making this fantastic mod available.  I just downloaded the new weapons file - NOOB questions - which folder (within Arma CO) should I extract it into - I see the following:

@IF
@IF_other_addons
@IFa3m
@LIB_DLC_1

I'm thinking the 1st or 2nd - please advise.

Thanks
