Does anyone know of a parachute script that works with AI teammates? also MP compatible?  I have been searching, even ARMA2 scripts and can't seem to find one.  The parachute scripts on the mission repository by Tayuk work great but don't seem to bring AI teammates with player.

Heya ~ Can you be more explicit as to what you want? Your right, there are a lot of options - but mostly I guess that's because there are a lot of different times (in mission), ways and permutations of paradropping - whether AI or Player.

Does this mean that the AI you need to be paradropped in, are going to do so after respawn? Or some other pre-defined point in the mission? As far as I understand Tayuk's script does work fine for AI [confused]

I have a flag pole at base that when clicked on runs the map click script.  I click on the map and my player is teleported to the map click location and parachutes - but if there are any AI teammates they do no get teleported\paradropped with the player.  I am using Tayuk's script.  Maybe I have another old version - I will DL the others and see if they work with AI.  It's for a sandbox type mission. The AI are recruited using Bon's recruit script.  Maybe that's the reason it doesn't seem to work with AI.

Thread has been moved, please post in the proper section in the future, released scripts section means actual released scripts,
not meant for posting new threads for discussion unless you are discussing something about an existing released script,
on the scripts own thread, or if you have a script you built.

Find another script that (any not just halo jump) runs if Ai for groups and see if you can snatch the needed lines. Or just for groups and force any members even if player.

Would be interested to see if this works out ~ it was designed for A3 - but Haz has also pointed out scripts designed for A3 to use in IFL44 for A2 Mission ideas.........

I tried but I couldn't get it to work but I'm not very good at writing scripts.  I can't believe this is so hard to find - I checked armaholic for scripts and most of all them are just the player.  I think the problem is that most of the A2 scripts I have looked at that work with AI - work in A2 but put AI in the cargo hold of a plane and eject them - A2 planes like C-130 or UH-80s.  I tried the LI-2 but apparently it doesn't have a cargo hold - hence not working.  It shouldn't be too hard to figure out.

name player and AI in a group, move group to map click location, place group in air, attach chutes to them.  Maybe I'll try writing a script from scratch.  I looked at the HALO drop script in domination but it can't be used in IF per XENO.  Really can't believe I can't find this script.

Think I solved it - but I have not tested in MP - to see if something crazy happens.

Changed this in Tayuk's script and it works flawlessly so far [rolleyes]

Can't believe it was that simple...  Just added the  {} around Tayuk's code and put the forEach units group player; and it works so far.  Oh boy, if this works in MP I'm thrilled - spent about a day messing with various scripts trying to figure this out.  Hopefully it won't do something dumb and parachute every player and AI in the game in MP.  Wonder if I need to put something in there to make sure it runs only on the client that executed it???  Does anyone know??

Yep.  About a month ago I started mission making.  ZERO experience - and I've been a long time player of the engine since OFP days.  To be honest, I've learned quite a bit - but literally have spent days on a single script trying to get something to work figure it out.  I got a pretty sweet sandbox mission working on - BUT I FORSEE problems with locality\MP issues [bawl].  I'm sorta getting that server\locality issue worked out in my head but that's going to be the next issue to tackle other scripts.
