Dear fans of the Iron Front, is pleased to welcome you on behalf of the Russian community.

Due to the fact that we, fans of the game, there are not many, we have a question for you: how do you feel about the serious games?

The format of games: team vs. team.
Difficulty: as close to realism.

Our project is already there six months, and during that time have been solved all the technical problems. It would therefore like to invite you to our project.

All you need to participate, it is - a licensed copy of the game installed TeamSpeak and your wish ... [wink]

What do you think about this?

Sincerely, Sterh.

p.s. Sorry for my Google [smile]

Hi!

I don't understand why, but looks like most of other IF-groups prefer to play against bots.

i have always tried to create scenarios that are team vs team, but each team human player also has bots to command and control as part of either their infantry squad or tank platoon.  I do this to try to create larger battles more reflective of the combat on the Eastern Front.  And by putting the AI under a human squad or tank platoon leader, makes the AI more unpredictable.  Of course, i do have a tendency with my scenarios to go overboard, but i always preficed my scenarios with the qualifier that any are welcome to modify them to reduce numbers of units for better performance for their or their groups needs.

But pure human team vs team play properly structured, can create some great opportunities and fun.   I use to play Red Orchestra alot and that is the main format there.  But you have to build the scenario to keep folks in an appropriate area for number of players so you do not have them spending hours running around just to find an enemy to fight.  I really thought the Team vs Team tanking would take off with this game, but it did not.  Not sure why, IF44 tanking is still the best out there for WWII in my opinion.

Also for me at least one of the problems with IF44 and Arma is it is so fun to research and develop historical scenarios, that i often neglect playing the game.  I need to do better job of balancing   Will try to join one of your games this weekend. Thanks for the invitation.

I think i would be interested if there were enough players on the server but, problem is my computer cant handle IF on a
server unless its like 5 players and less, so maybe int he near future after I upgrade.
As noted I 'm assuming that the server for the community is located in Russia, or else ware?

Also suggest for those interested post your server details.

Im going to move this thread to player groups, as it would be more appropriate in that section.

Hi!

The good news is what HM-project already have well-tested, intresting missions. Part of them  translated to English and German.
The bad side is what sometimes we have not enought players to play them.

Now, I wanna say the truth. Its only my opinion, not the official project position.
Hard mode project games has great technical base and fantastic atmosphere. But project is dying slowly, becouse less when 20...25 players can't create real tactical game. IF been dropped by producers, you all know that, and game loosing active players.
The truth is - project needs players, foreign or domestic, even more then new players needs it.
So, the other groups participating in hard mode games maybe the only chanse to save the project.

Hard mode has never been friendly and easy to participate for foreigners. I heard few german guys try it and left quite quickly. Our guys belive reason is our games mode too difficult, I don't think so.
I believe if we'll help not-russian speakers join us and feel part of project, it can be much better. Ready to do my best.

I want to inform you, that despite this topic looks little bit abandoned, the idea of such games is alive.

For last months we orginize games together with Russian HM group and Polish community 6PDP/veterani.pl

And we not going to stop on this. We'll have big games with all our combined forces soon. We expecting 50+ players this time and this is not a limit. And belive me, this games not only about quantity, but quality.

Hello everyone. Guys, we have a small problem - we need to transfer the game to the 24th of november, because 23rd there is a campaign on another project and from our side will be not much people.
But we guarantee that on the 24th from us and from our french and polish friends will be about 50+ players, if they also accept this date.
I think it's cool. Isn't it?
So, will you come to the november 24th?

"HardMode" project invite all serious Iron Front players to the next international tactical game. Our games became a good tradition, on last two meetings we had 50..55 players (including more then 15 guests from other countries, who don't speak Russian).
See you on the battlefield!
